Venue: BAWA Filton, Concorde room
Thursday Sep 17th, 2016 at 18:30
This is a joint event with the Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS). The talk will present work carried out on the CREST project. This project investigates the use of corrosion-resisting steels in place of low alloy carbon steels for use in landing gear applications. CREST specifically targets maturing Carpenter Custom®465 in application to forged landing gear main structural components. This is a multi-partner, UK Government supported project to develop an Airbus A320 main landing gear in CRES materials.
